Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG), which rose 4.30% or 200.00 points to trade at 4,850.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) added 3.83% or 4,920.00 points to end at 133,400.00 and Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) was up 2.87% or 54.00 points to 1,936.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG), which fell 2.87% or 1,220.00 points to trade at 41,220.00 at the close. Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) declined 2.16% or 1,570.00 points to end at 71,000.00 and Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) was down 1.28% or 1,150.00 points to 88,500.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 254 to 200 and 84 ended unchanged.
Shares in Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.16% or 1,570.00 to 71,000.00.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.29% or 1.78 to $79.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.84% or 0.70 to hit $83.58 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.94% or 21.85 to trade at $2,356.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.27% to 3.68, while EUR/ILS rose 0.44% to 4.00.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 104.36.
