Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Communication, Banking and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.83% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG), which rose 5.04% or 235.00 points to trade at 4,898.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Leumi (TASE:LUMI) added 3.75% or 104.00 points to end at 2,880.00 and Energix (TASE:ENRG) was up 3.06% or 36.00 points to 1,214.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG), which fell 4.33% or 245.00 points to trade at 5,413.00 at the close. Mizrahi Tefahot (TASE:MZTF) declined 2.57% or 360.00 points to end at 13,640.00 and Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) was down 1.99% or 48.00 points to 2,367.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 292 to 168 and 84 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.35% or 0.27 to $76.68 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.18% or 0.15 to hit $81.62 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 4.10 to trade at $2,044.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.19% to 3.68, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.01% to 4.04.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 102.78.
