Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.83%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Paz Oil (TASE:PZOL), which rose 3.17% or 1460 points to trade at 47510 at the close. Meanwhile, Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) added 2.99% or 62 points to end at 2138 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TASE:MZTF) was up 2.77% or 219 points to 8125 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which fell 2.43% or 630 points to trade at 25250 at the close. Gazit Globe Ltd (TASE:GZT) declined 2.34% or 83 points to end at 3465 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was down 2.03% or 33 points to 1590.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 225 to 148 and 44 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 4.49% or 2.42 to $56.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 4.31% or 2.51 to hit $60.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.95 to trade at $1556.85 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.32% to 3.5282, while EUR/ILS rose 0.21% to 3.8920.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 98.407.
