Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Biomed, Banking and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.82%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL), which rose 7.26% or 88 points to trade at 1300 at the close. Meanwhile, OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) added 5.16% or 65 points to end at 1325 and Harel (TASE:HARL) was up 4.43% or 95 points to 2240 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Maytronics (TASE:MTRN), which fell 3.81% or 201 points to trade at 5071 at the close. Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) declined 2.97% or 76 points to end at 2481 and Mivne Real Estate KD Ltd (TASE:MVNE) was down 2.11% or 14 points to 625.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 226 to 177 and 22 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 4.00% or 1.61 to $38.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 3.31% or 1.40 to hit $40.90 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.06% or 20.15 to trade at $1915.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.07% to 3.4240, while EUR/ILS rose 0.31% to 4.0219.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 93.782.
