Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.75% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Leumi (TA:LUMI), which rose 3.46% or 65 points to trade at 1946 at the close. Meanwhile, Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) added 2.66% or 4.7 points to end at 181.1 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) was up 2.37% or 147 points to 6347 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 2.76% or 50 points to trade at 1760 at the close. Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) declined 1.24% or 0.6 points to end at 47.8 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT) was down 0.65% or 330 points to 50680.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 195 to 194 and 34 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.33% or 0.19 to $57.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.33% or 0.21 to hit $63.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.30 to trade at $1294.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.02% to 3.5008, while EUR/ILS fell 0.24% to 4.1547.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 93.14.
