Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Communication and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO), which rose 3.80% or 5,440.00 points to trade at 148,440.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) added 3.75% or 2,570.00 points to end at 71,070.00 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was up 3.65% or 106.00 points to 3,014.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE), which fell 4.11% or 179.00 points to trade at 4,180.00 at the close. Harel (TASE:HARL) declined 2.58% or 90.00 points to end at 3,400.00 and Energix (TASE:ENRG) was down 2.25% or 33.00 points to 1,435.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 275 to 207 and 43 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.95% or 0.80 to $83.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.82% or 0.74 to hit $89.88 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.28% or 4.75 to trade at $1,675.85 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.36% to 3.46, while EUR/ILS fell 0.55% to 3.42.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.71% at 110.72.
