Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Communication, Banking and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Nova (TASE:NVMI), which rose 2.46% or 830.00 points to trade at 34,530.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) added 2.25% or 122.00 points to end at 5,539.00 and Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TASE:BIG) was up 2.08% or 680.00 points to 33,390.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN), which fell 3.10% or 28.00 points to trade at 874.00 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) declined 1.90% or 51.00 points to end at 2,630.00 and OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE) was down 1.66% or 53.00 points to 3,132.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 232 to 228 and 38 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.14% or 0.11 to $76.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.11% or 0.09 to hit $82.75 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.77% or 14.05 to trade at $1,832.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.28% to 3.59, while EUR/ILS rose 0.21% to 3.79.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 105.26.
