Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which rose 4.59% or 46.00 points to trade at 1,049.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) added 4.52% or 164.00 points to end at 3,790.00 and Harel (TASE:HARL) was up 4.36% or 151.00 points to 3,616.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nova (TASE:NVMI), which fell 3.10% or 1,070.00 points to trade at 33,500.00 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) declined 2.75% or 700.00 points to end at 24,740.00 and Energix (TASE:ENRG) was down 2.73% or 37.00 points to 1,320.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 250 to 247 and 26 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 5.96% or 6.52 to $102.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 5.40% or 6.08 to hit $106.59 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.21% or 24.10 to trade at $1,960.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 1.12% to 3.29, while EUR/ILS rose 1.70% to 3.61.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 98.89.
