Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Biomed, Banking and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which rose 3.64% or 252 points to trade at 7175 at the close. Meanwhile, Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) added 2.03% or 103 points to end at 5174 and Liveperson (TA:LPSN) was up 1.98% or 151 points to 7768 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TA:DSCT), which fell 1.31% or 16.0 points to trade at 1209.0 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 0.87% or 12 points to end at 1361 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) was down 0.84% or 2.7 points to 318.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 204 to 157 and 45 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.32% or 0.17 to $52.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.13% or 0.08 to hit $61.42 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.18% or 2.25 to trade at $1281.15 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.10% to 3.6738, while EUR/ILS rose 0.10% to 4.1810.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 95.815.
