Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.60% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 7.09% or 245 points to trade at 3700 at the close. Meanwhile, International Flavors & Fragrances Inc (TASE:IFF) added 3.92% or 1490 points to end at 39460 and Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) was up 2.80% or 4800 points to 176000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which fell 3.70% or 1350 points to trade at 35130 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) declined 3.56% or 63 points to end at 1707 and Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) was down 2.49% or 500 points to 19590.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 240 to 191 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.63% or 0.85 to $53.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.62% or 0.90 to hit $56.56 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.40% or 7.40 to trade at $1843.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.44% to 3.1570, while EUR/ILS fell 0.41% to 3.8363.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 90.388.
