Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Communication, Oil & Gas and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.60% to hit a new 3-years high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 2.55% or 54 points to trade at 2173 at the close. Meanwhile, Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) added 2.12% or 2300 points to end at 110800 and Gazit Globe Ltd (TA:GZT) was up 1.78% or 59 points to 3369 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which fell 1.49% or 290 points to trade at 19140 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) declined 1.48% or 125 points to end at 8311 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was down 0.89% or 250 points to 27950.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 228 to 157 and 37 ended unchanged.
Shares in Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.12% or 2300 to 110800.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.48% or 0.34 to $69.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.42% or 0.33 to hit $77.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 1.90 to trade at $1206.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.18% to 3.6065, while EUR/ILS fell 0.98% to 4.1757.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 95.05.
