Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Banking and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.57% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA), which rose 2.49% or 780.0 points to trade at 32100.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Harel (TA:HARL) added 1.83% or 49 points to end at 2733 and Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) was up 1.61% or 0.6 points to 37.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 5.89% or 128 points to trade at 2044 at the close. Partner (TA:PTNR) declined 2.18% or 32 points to end at 1435 and Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL) was down 2.05% or 43 points to 2059.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 199 to 152 and 17 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.26% or 0.18 to $68.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.19% or 0.14 to hit $73.58 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 3.90 to trade at $1229.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.24% to 3.6412, while EUR/ILS fell 0.35% to 4.2499.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 94.37.
