Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO), which rose 4.23% or 3,600.00 points to trade at 88,700.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG) added 3.39% or 173.00 points to end at 5,277.00 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TASE:MZTF) was up 3.35% or 440.00 points to 13,590.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM), which fell 4.25% or 470.00 points to trade at 10,600.00 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) declined 2.99% or 730.00 points to end at 23,660.00 and Nova (TASE:NVMI) was down 2.56% or 1,480.00 points to 56,340.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 257 to 208 and 70 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.72% or 0.55 to $77.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.55% or 0.45 to hit $82.45 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.38% or 28.15 to trade at $2,004.85 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.49% to 3.67, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.01% to 3.94.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.61% at 104.68.
