Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.47% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 11.21% or 282 points to trade at 2797 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) added 3.53% or 930 points to end at 27290 and Paz Oil (TASE:PZOL) was up 2.87% or 1480 points to 52980 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Liveperson (TASE:LPSN), which fell 4.65% or 650 points to trade at 13340 at the close. Delek Drilling LP (TASE:DEDRp) declined 2.79% or 25 points to end at 877 and Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT) was down 2.55% or 175 points to 6694.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 231 to 164 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) rose to all time highs; up 3.53% or 930 to 27290.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.48% or 0.79 to $54.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.95% or 0.56 to hit $59.52 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.16% or 2.45 to trade at $1485.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.23% to 3.5319, while EUR/ILS fell 0.31% to 3.9343.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 97.123.
