Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Real Estate and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.41% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM), which rose 5.27% or 367 points to trade at 7337 at the close. Meanwhile, Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) added 3.36% or 390 points to end at 11990 and Melisron (TASE:MLSR) was up 3.07% or 570 points to 19110 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT), which fell 1.90% or 123 points to trade at 6350 at the close. Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) declined 1.84% or 1040 points to end at 55440 and Isramco Negev 2 LP (TASE:ISRAp) was down 1.13% or 0.8 points to 70.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 226 to 164 and 29 ended unchanged.
Shares in Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) rose to all time highs; up 3.36% or 390 to 11990.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 3.24% or 1.90 to $56.68 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.64% or 1.72 to hit $63.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.70% or 10.05 to trade at $1427.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.07% to 3.5080, while EUR/ILS fell 0.21% to 3.8794.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 98.377.
