Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Communication and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.40% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which rose 3.05% or 226 points to trade at 7626 at the close. Meanwhile, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) added 2.41% or 203 points to end at 8642 and Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL) was up 1.47% or 30 points to 2064 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which fell 2.10% or 8.2 points to trade at 381.5 at the close. Nice Ltd (TA:NICE) declined 1.91% or 800 points to end at 41030 and Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) was down 0.79% or 0.3 points to 37.9.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 198 to 173 and 25 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) fell to 5-year lows; falling 2.10% or 8.2 to 381.5.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.11% or 1.45 to $70.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.03% or 0.77 to hit $75.53 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1223.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.30% to 3.6626, while EUR/ILS rose 0.74% to 4.2884.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 94.10.
