Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Biomed and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which rose 2.87% or 1550 points to trade at 55560 at the close. Meanwhile, ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) added 2.32% or 71 points to end at 3125 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was up 2.11% or 450 points to 21800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TASE:BIG), which fell 2.40% or 1200 points to trade at 48730 at the close. Mivne Real Estate KD Ltd (TASE:MVNE) declined 1.62% or 21 points to end at 1279 and OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) was down 1.53% or 16 points to 1030.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 303 to 189 and 31 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.92% or 1.75 to $89.57 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.96% or 1.82 to hit $90.87 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.35% or 6.30 to trade at $1828.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.54% to 3.2096, while EUR/ILS rose 0.51% to 3.6715.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 95.582.
