Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Biomed and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which rose 2.64% or 40 points to trade at 1555 at the close. Meanwhile, Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) added 2.64% or 1820 points to end at 70820 and Leumi (TA:LUMI) was up 2.37% or 49 points to 2115 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which fell 3.60% or 710 points to trade at 19000 at the close. Melisron (TA:MLSR) declined 2.15% or 320 points to end at 14560 and First International Bank of Israel Ltd (TA:FTIN) was down 1.69% or 127 points to 7403.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 233 to 152 and 30 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.60% or 710 to 19000.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.16% or 0.10 to $62.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $65.56 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.45% or 19.10 to trade at $1339.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.22% to 3.4629, while EUR/ILS rose 0.35% to 4.2962.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 89.55.
