Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Communication, Banking and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Maytronics (TASE:MTRN), which rose 4.05% or 265 points to trade at 6815 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) added 3.53% or 790 points to end at 23200 and Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) was up 2.41% or 220 points to 9344 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which fell 7.77% or 83 points to trade at 986 at the close. Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) declined 2.92% or 4000 points to end at 133000 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was down 2.51% or 76 points to 2947.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 282 to 221 and 25 ended unchanged.
Shares in OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) fell to 52-week lows; losing 7.77% or 83 to 986.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.30% or 1.92 to $85.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.80% or 1.54 to hit $86.97 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 7.55 to trade at $1849.25 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.78% to 3.1833, while EUR/ILS rose 0.43% to 3.5920.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 96.080.
