Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Banking and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE:SPNS), which rose 3.00% or 284 points to trade at 9744 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) added 2.64% or 720 points to end at 28000 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) was up 2.56% or 1010 points to 40520 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which fell 7.27% or 106 points to trade at 1352 at the close. Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) declined 2.10% or 48 points to end at 2240 and Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT) was down 2.09% or 97 points to 4542.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 236 to 169 and 24 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.70% or 1.27 to $48.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.56% or 1.28 to hit $51.36 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 5.95 to trade at $1876.25 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.41% to 3.2163, while EUR/ILS fell 0.10% to 3.9236.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 90.198.
