Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Banking and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE), which rose 2.08% or 73.00 points to trade at 3,578.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Mizrahi Tefahot (TASE:MZTF) added 2.00% or 270.00 points to end at 13,760.00 and Harel (TASE:HARL) was up 1.98% or 62.00 points to 3,190.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG), which fell 3.38% or 164.00 points to trade at 4,686.00 at the close. Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN) declined 3.00% or 23.60 points to end at 762.40 and Energix (TASE:ENRG) was down 2.31% or 35.00 points to 1,482.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 275 to 180 and 83 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.38% or 0.30 to $79.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.36% or 0.30 to hit $83.64 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.57% or 13.50 to trade at $2,343.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.66% to 3.70, while EUR/ILS rose 0.28% to 4.00.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 104.93.
