Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Insurance, Banking and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM), which rose 2.87% or 191 points to trade at 6850 at the close. Meanwhile, Shufersal (TASE:SAE) added 1.66% or 41 points to end at 2511 and Harel (TASE:HARL) was up 1.46% or 41 points to 2853 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which fell 3.47% or 86 points to trade at 2392 at the close. Delek Drilling LP (TASE:DEDRp) declined 2.39% or 22 points to end at 915 and Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT) was down 1.34% or 90 points to 6607.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 218 to 165 and 30 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.80% or 1.01 to $57.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.83% or 1.11 to hit $61.81 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 2.22% or 34.65 to trade at $1525.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.14% to 3.5200, while EUR/ILS fell 0.10% to 3.8857.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 98.347.
