Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Biomed, Banking and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were NICE Ltd (TASE:NICE), which rose 2.73% or 2,010.00 points to trade at 75,690.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Bank Hapoalim (TASE:POLI) added 1.85% or 57.00 points to end at 3,138.00 and Newmed Energy LP (TASE:NWMDp) was up 1.45% or 15.00 points to 1,053.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN), which fell 3.50% or 84.00 points to trade at 2,315.00 at the close. Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG) declined 2.89% or 164.00 points to end at 5,506.00 and Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT) was down 2.30% or 44.00 points to 1,871.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 257 to 216 and 66 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.77% or 1.92 to $71.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.16% or 1.60 to hit $75.65 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.25% or 25.60 to trade at $2,020.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.26% to 3.71, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.00% to 3.99.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 103.63.
