Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Melisron (TASE:MLSR), which rose 3.44% or 760 points to trade at 22860 at the close. Meanwhile, Harel (TASE:HARL) added 2.84% or 91 points to end at 3300 and OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) was up 2.30% or 27 points to 1201 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which fell 1.91% or 430 points to trade at 22060 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) declined 1.76% or 62 points to end at 3463 and Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) was down 1.57% or 300 points to 18770.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 289 to 189 and 17 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.42% or 0.30 to $72.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.82% or 0.61 to hit $74.60 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 5.50 to trade at $1861.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.08% to 3.2416, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.00% to 3.9271.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 90.502.
