Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Oil & Gas and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.09% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which rose 3.45% or 820 points to trade at 24590 at the close. Meanwhile, Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) added 3.19% or 72 points to end at 2329 and Perrigo (TASE:PRGO) was up 2.73% or 420 points to 15790 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which fell 8.25% or 129 points to trade at 1435 at the close. Energix (TASE:ENRG) declined 3.64% or 57 points to end at 1510 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was down 3.55% or 47 points to 1276.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 207 to 191 and 30 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 3.23% or 1.31 to $39.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.99% or 1.28 to hit $41.57 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.11% or 2.15 to trade at $1928.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.50% to 3.3939, while EUR/ILS rose 0.31% to 4.0038.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 93.095.
