Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Nice Ltd (TASE:NICE), which rose 2.59% or 2390 points to trade at 94510 at the close. Meanwhile, Bank Hapoalim (TASE:POLI) added 2.15% or 65 points to end at 3085 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) was up 2.06% or 1110 points to 55000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which fell 3.02% or 79 points to trade at 2535 at the close. Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) declined 2.23% or 2950 points to end at 129550 and Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) was down 2.15% or 240 points to 10910.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 259 to 233 and 33 ended unchanged.
Shares in Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.06% or 1110 to 55000.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.35% or 0.25 to $70.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.20% or 0.15 to hit $73.55 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.30% or 5.30 to trade at $1767.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.01% to 3.1359, while EUR/ILS rose 0.09% to 3.5338.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 96.555.
