Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Biomed and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.07% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL), which rose 5.98% or 116 points to trade at 2057 at the close. Meanwhile, Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) added 4.50% or 840 points to end at 19500 and Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT) was up 4.25% or 207 points to 5077 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG), which fell 4.38% or 174 points to trade at 3801 at the close. Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TASE:ALHE) declined 2.33% or 100 points to end at 4200 and Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) was down 2.04% or 50 points to 2400.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 295 to 151 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) rose to 52-week highs; up 5.98% or 116 to 2057.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 5.14% or 3.16 to $58.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 4.61% or 2.99 to hit $61.87 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.75 to trade at $1730.15 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.61% to 3.3097, while EUR/ILS fell 0.13% to 3.9106.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 92.580.
