Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking, Communication and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG), which rose 3.36% or 78 points to trade at 2397 at the close. Meanwhile, ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) added 2.52% or 30 points to end at 1220 and Perrigo (TASE:PRGO) was up 2.49% or 480 points to 19720 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT), which fell 5.31% or 240 points to trade at 4281 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) declined 4.93% or 42 points to end at 814 and Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TASE:ALHE) was down 4.64% or 179 points to 3681.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 192 to 188 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.31% or 240 to 4281.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.08% or 0.03 to $36.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.10% or 0.04 to hit $39.53 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.68% or 29.05 to trade at $1704.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.06% to 3.4737, while EUR/ILS rose 0.57% to 3.9042.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 97.252.
