Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Leumi (TA:LUMI), which rose 3.11% or 55 points to trade at 1825 at the close. Meanwhile, Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) added 2.70% or 13.5 points to end at 514.0 and Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) was up 2.68% or 670 points to 25650 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 2.76% or 62 points to trade at 2181 at the close. Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) declined 2.23% or 480.0 points to end at 21010.0 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was down 2.22% or 1710 points to 75250.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 219 to 184 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Leumi (TA:LUMI) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 3.11% or 55 to 1825.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.61% or 0.29 to $47.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.83% or 0.42 to hit $50.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.06% or 13.68 to trade at $1276.72 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.89% to 3.6153, while EUR/ILS rose 0.36% to 4.2366.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.54% at 93.84.
