Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Gas & Water sectors led shares higher while losses in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.68%, while the SBF 120 index declined 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP), which rose 6.85% or 14.10 points to trade at 220.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Thales (EPA:TCFP) added 4.08% or 5.40 points to end at 137.85 and Schneider Electric SE (EPA:SCHN) was up 1.87% or 3.58 points to 195.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which fell 0.79% or 0.20 points to trade at 25.17 at the close. Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:URW) declined 0.49% or 0.34 points to end at 69.02 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) was down 0.44% or 0.60 points to 134.75.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) which rose 6.85% to 220.00, Thales (EPA:TCFP) which was up 4.08% to settle at 137.85 and Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:UBIP) which gained 3.48% to close at 24.39.
The worst performers were Carmila SA (EPA:CARM) which was down 4.57% to 15.04 in late trade, Vallourec (EPA:VLLP) which lost 3.00% to settle at 13.27 and ALD SA (EPA:ALDA) which was down 2.94% to 5.28 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 270 to 229 and 101 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.13% or 2.65 to $2,004.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.87% or 0.68 to hit $77.19 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.87% or 0.72 to trade at $82.05 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.19% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.48% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 104.62.
