Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher while losses in the Healthcare, Consumer Services and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.42%, while the SBF 120 index lost 1.23%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY), which rose 3.32% or 2.70 points to trade at 84.14 at the close. Meanwhile, Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) added 2.98% or 3.05 points to end at 105.50 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) was up 2.26% or 0.86 points to 38.72 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STMPA), which fell 6.06% or 2.28 points to trade at 35.27 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) declined 3.89% or 0.82 points to end at 20.25 and BNP Paribas SA (EPA:BNPP) was down 1.85% or 1.01 points to 53.66.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were SES Imagotag (EPA:SESL) which rose 8.00% to 91.80, Fnac Darty SA (EPA:FNAC) which was up 7.30% to settle at 21.76 and Eramet SA (EPA:ERMT) which gained 5.91% to close at 65.40.
The worst performers were STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STMPA) which was down 6.06% to 35.27 in late trade, X Fab Silicon Foundries EV (EPA:XFAB) which lost 5.32% to settle at 8.55 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) which was down 3.89% to 20.25 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 263 to 261 and 86 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.46% or 9.20 to $2,007.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 3.30% or 2.82 to hit $82.72 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.77% or 2.47 to trade at $86.73 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.45% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 105.99.
