Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher while losses in the Consumer Services, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 0.09%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Renault SA (EPA:RENA), which rose 5.21% or 2.49 points to trade at 50.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) added 2.35% or 2.45 points to end at 106.55 and Bouygues SA (EPA:BOUY) was up 1.05% or 0.37 points to 35.77 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN), which fell 1.54% or 0.70 points to trade at 44.86 at the close. Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR) declined 1.34% or 2.16 points to end at 159.12 and Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) was down 1.28% or 0.74 points to 56.98.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Renault SA (EPA:RENA) which rose 5.21% to 50.30, Neoen SA (EPA:NEOEN) which was up 4.83% to settle at 32.12 and Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:UBIP) which gained 4.28% to close at 21.92.
The worst performers were Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which was down 10.38% to 12.76 in late trade, Vusiongroup SA (EPA:VU) which lost 10.03% to settle at 143.50 and Clariane SE (EPA:CLARI) which was down 5.11% to 3.79 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 246 to 246 and 115 ended unchanged.
Shares in Neoen SA (EPA:NEOEN) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 4.83% or 1.48 to 32.12.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.13% or 3.00 to $2,334.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.05% or 0.81 to hit $77.68 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.92% or 0.75 to trade at $82.11 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 104.64.
