Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 1.07%, while the SBF 120 index lost 0.93%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST), which rose 1.98% or 0.65 points to trade at 33.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:URW) added 1.47% or 1.10 points to end at 75.68 and Danone SA (EPA:DANO) was up 1.24% or 0.80 points to 65.22 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kering SA (EPA:PRTP), which fell 3.55% or 8.70 points to trade at 236.25 at the close. STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STMPA) declined 3.04% or 0.81 points to end at 25.82 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) was down 2.96% or 2.97 points to 97.48.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were ICADE (EPA:ICAD) which rose 3.66% to 22.68, ID Logistics SAS (EPA:IDLA) which was up 3.59% to settle at 390.00 and Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA (EPA:STDM) which gained 2.55% to close at 178.70.
The worst performers were Elis Services SA (EPA:ELIS) which was down 15.66% to 19.50 in late trade, Rubis SCA (EPA:RUBF) which lost 10.85% to settle at 25.30 and Emeis SA (EPA:EMEIS) which was down 8.68% to 7.51 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 341 to 147 and 93 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kering SA (EPA:PRTP) fell to 5-year lows; down 3.55% or 8.70 to 236.25. Shares in STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STMPA) fell to 3-years lows; down 3.04% or 0.81 to 25.82. Shares in Danone SA (EPA:DANO) rose to 3-years highs; rising 1.24% or 0.80 to 65.22. Shares in Emeis SA (EPA:EMEIS) fell to all time lows; down 8.68% or 0.71 to 7.51.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.68% or 17.20 to $2,525.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.26% or 1.56 to hit $67.59 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.24% or 1.63 to trade at $71.06 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 101.21.
