Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Utilities and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 fell 0.86%, while the SBF 120 index declined 0.79%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Vinci SA (EPA:SGEF), which rose 2.52% or 2.74 points to trade at 111.44 at the close. Meanwhile, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:URW) added 2.35% or 1.14 points to end at 49.66 and Bouygues SA (EPA:BOUY) was up 2.25% or 0.72 points to 32.74 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which fell 14.02% or 28.55 points to trade at 175.15 at the close. Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) declined 6.82% or 2.56 points to end at 34.88 and Schneider Electric SE (EPA:SCHN) was down 2.57% or 4.00 points to 151.92.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which rose 11.64% to 2.69, Korian Medica SA (EPA:KORI) which was up 7.44% to settle at 7.51 and Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) which gained 7.01% to close at 2.32.
The worst performers were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) which was down 14.02% to 175.15 in late trade, Nexans SA (EPA:NEXS) which lost 7.98% to settle at 74.35 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) which was down 6.82% to 34.88 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 326 to 207 and 92 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.40% or 7.95 to $1,996.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.95% or 0.73 to hit $76.34 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.10% or 0.89 to trade at $79.71 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.62% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.16% to 0.89.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 101.18.
