Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 0.71%, while the SBF 120 index declined 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Vivendi SA (EPA:VIV), which rose 41.74% or 0.77 points to trade at 2.61 at the close. Meanwhile, EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA:ESLX) added 1.25% or 2.90 points to end at 234.10 and Safran SA (EPA:SAF) was up 0.62% or 1.30 points to 210.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM), which fell 4.50% or 0.60 points to trade at 12.74 at the close. Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) declined 4.03% or 3.44 points to end at 81.90 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) was down 2.34% or 0.82 points to 34.15.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Vivendi SA (EPA:VIV) which rose 41.74% to 2.61, Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) which was up 8.05% to settle at 8.83 and Viridien SA (EPA:VIRI) which gained 3.12% to close at 48.26.
The worst performers were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was unchanged 21.74% to 0.00 in late trade, Emeis SA (EPA:EMEIS) which lost 8.17% to settle at 5.11 and Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM) which was down 4.50% to 12.74 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 296 to 187 and 96 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.20% or 5.46 to $2,670.34 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.59% or 1.13 to hit $70.16 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.95% or 0.71 to trade at $73.78 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.46% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 106.57.
