Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Utilities and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 fell 0.27% to hit a new 1-month low, while the SBF 120 index lost 0.79%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:PUBP), which rose 3.08% or 3.10 points to trade at 103.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Vivendi SA (EPA:VIV) added 1.07% or 0.11 points to end at 9.99 and Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) was up 1.02% or 2.10 points to 208.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN), which fell 2.71% or 1.26 points to trade at 45.27 at the close. Credit Agricole SA (EPA:CAGR) declined 1.96% or 0.28 points to end at 13.78 and Carrefour SA (EPA:CARR) was down 1.89% or 0.31 points to 15.80.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:PUBP) which rose 3.08% to 103.65, Verallia (EPA:VRLA) which was up 2.32% to settle at 35.30 and Lectra SA (EPA:LECS) which gained 2.26% to close at 34.00.
The worst performers were Air France KLM SA (EPA:AIRF) which was down 4.29% to 9.87 in late trade, Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which lost 3.87% to settle at 1.71 and Rexel (EPA:RXL) which was down 3.78% to 24.19 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 256 to 235 and 116 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.58% or 13.65 to $2,362.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.67% or 0.58 to hit $85.63 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.38% or 0.34 to trade at $90.14 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.16% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 105.17.
