Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Healthcare and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 fell 0.27%, while the SBF 120 index fell 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which rose 2.32% or 0.57 points to trade at 25.10 at the close. Meanwhile, TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF) added 1.41% or 0.82 points to end at 58.89 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) was up 1.06% or 1.35 points to 129.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Renault SA (EPA:RENA), which fell 6.25% or 2.34 points to trade at 35.00 at the close. Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) declined 2.19% or 0.66 points to end at 29.42 and Carrefour SA (EPA:CARR) was down 2.18% or 0.38 points to 17.29.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were ID Logistics SAS (EPA:IDLA) which rose 5.82% to 254.50, Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:UBIP) which was up 3.72% to settle at 29.00 and Technip Energies BV (EPA:TE) which gained 2.95% to close at 22.00.
The worst performers were Renault SA (EPA:RENA) which was down 6.25% to 35.00 in late trade, Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (EPA:CASP) which lost 4.94% to settle at 2.81 and Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which was down 2.82% to 1.67 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 291 to 231 and 97 ended unchanged.
Shares in Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) fell to 5-year lows; down 2.19% or 0.66 to 29.42. Shares in Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) fell to all time lows; down 2.82% or 0.05 to 1.67.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.08% or 1.55 to $1,964.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.19% or 1.83 to hit $85.46 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.81% or 1.57 to trade at $88.40 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.54% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.56% at 104.16.
