Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Healthcare and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 0.26%, while the SBF 120 index lost 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR), which rose 1.85% or 1.70 points to trade at 93.44 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STM) added 1.53% or 0.54 points to end at 35.80 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) was up 1.30% or 0.47 points to 36.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which fell 3.29% or 1.72 points to trade at 50.54 at the close. Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) declined 2.51% or 1.66 points to end at 64.58 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) was down 2.31% or 6.70 points to 283.40.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which rose 4.99% to 8.67, Elis Services SA (EPA:ELIS) which was up 3.78% to settle at 12.07 and Vallourec (EPA:VLLP) which gained 2.86% to close at 9.70.
The worst performers were Valneva (EPA:VLS) which was down 19.50% to 6.53 in late trade, Antin Infrastructure Partners SASU (EPA:ANTIN) which lost 6.60% to settle at 23.50 and Klepierre SA (EPA:LOIM) which was down 4.26% to 19.57 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 345 to 197 and 84 ended unchanged.
Shares in Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.51% or 1.66 to 64.58. Shares in Valneva (EPA:VLS) fell to 52-week lows; falling 19.50% or 1.58 to 6.53.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.22% or 3.75 to $1,679.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.35% or 0.30 to hit $85.06 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.34% or 0.31 to trade at $91.66 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.03% to 1.00, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 109.44.
