Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 fell 0.12%, while the SBF 120 index fell 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which rose 3.64% or 5.10 points to trade at 145.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Societe Generale SA (EPA:SOGN) added 1.97% or 0.45 points to end at 23.32 and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:URW) was up 1.85% or 0.85 points to 46.87 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI), which fell 2.64% or 1.62 points to trade at 59.82 at the close. Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) declined 2.51% or 1.03 points to end at 40.17 and Vivendi SA (EPA:VIV) was down 2.35% or 0.20 points to 8.14.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (EPA:CASP) which rose 8.84% to 6.03, SCOR SE (EPA:SCOR) which was up 6.13% to settle at 24.93 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) which gained 3.64% to close at 145.30.
The worst performers were Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) which was down 2.64% to 59.82 in late trade, Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) which lost 2.51% to settle at 40.17 and Vivendi SA (EPA:VIV) which was down 2.35% to 8.14 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 273 to 244 and 104 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.13% or 2.65 to $1,975.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.20% or 0.14 to hit $71.15 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.14% or 0.11 to trade at $75.85 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.49% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 103.53.
