Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 1.96% to hit a new 1-month high, while the SBF 120 index added 2.08%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which rose 8.13% or 3.94 points to trade at 52.38 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STM) added 7.81% or 2.59 points to end at 35.77 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) was up 7.72% or 2.61 points to 36.43 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which fell 33.90% or 90.25 points to trade at 175.95 at the close. Credit Agricole SA (EPA:CAGR) declined 2.53% or 0.25 points to end at 9.46 and Thales (EPA:TCFP) was down 1.88% or 2.35 points to 122.85.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Soitec SA (EPA:SOIT) which rose 10.17% to 151.65, Faurecia (EPA:EPED) which was up 9.34% to settle at 16.50 and Valeo SA (EPA:VLOF) which gained 8.71% to close at 18.61.
The worst performers were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) which was down 33.90% to 175.95 in late trade, Vallourec (EPA:VLLP) which lost 4.26% to settle at 11.13 and Credit Agricole SA (EPA:CAGR) which was down 2.53% to 9.46 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 344 to 197 and 90 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 2.22% or 38.05 to $1,751.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.78% or 0.67 to hit $86.50 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.00% or 0.93 to trade at $93.58 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 1.31% to 1.01, while EUR/GBP fell 1.17% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.82% at 108.45.
