Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.98% to hit a new 1-month high, while the SBF 120 index gained 0.91%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Hermes International SCA (EPA:HRMS), which rose 3.01% or 39.50 points to trade at 1,350.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Kering SA (EPA:PRTP) added 2.75% or 12.75 points to end at 476.45 and Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR) was up 2.68% or 2.94 points to 112.52 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Compagnie Generale des Etablissements Michelin SCA (EPA:MICP), which fell 2.09% or 0.54 points to trade at 25.27 at the close. Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) declined 1.92% or 5.20 points to end at 266.10 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) was down 1.75% or 0.60 points to 33.35.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which rose 11.98% to 9.20, Elior Group (EPA:ELIOR) which was up 7.20% to settle at 2.41 and Korian Medica SA (EPA:KORI) which gained 6.80% to close at 10.21.
The worst performers were Trigano SA (EPA:TRIA) which was down 2.80% to 100.70 in late trade, Elis Services SA (EPA:ELIS) which lost 2.67% to settle at 11.30 and Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA (EPA:STDM) which was down 2.24% to 314.00 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 325 to 217 and 71 ended unchanged.
Shares in Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.75% or 0.60 to 33.35.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.71% or 11.65 to $1,652.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.35% or 2.03 to hit $88.56 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 2.21% or 2.05 to trade at $94.86 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 0.99, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 111.37.
