Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.94% to hit a new 52-week high, while the SBF 120 index added 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:PUBP), which rose 5.99% or 4.24 points to trade at 75.02 at the close. Meanwhile, EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA:ESLX) added 4.63% or 7.90 points to end at 178.65 and Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) was up 3.16% or 2.18 points to 71.16 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY), which fell 1.88% or 1.63 points to trade at 85.14 at the close. Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) declined 1.61% or 4.40 points to end at 269.00 and Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) was down 0.95% or 0.42 points to 44.02.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:PUBP) which rose 5.99% to 75.02, Compagnie Plastic Omnium SE (EPA:PLOF) which was up 4.80% to settle at 17.26 and EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA:ESLX) which gained 4.63% to close at 178.65.
The worst performers were Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which was down 25.96% to 2.78 in late trade, Korian Medica SA (EPA:KORI) which lost 6.05% to settle at 9.01 and Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was down 3.64% to 12.69 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 279 to 269 and 88 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 2.82% or 54.50 to $1,876.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 2.74% or 2.08 to hit $73.80 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 2.47% or 2.03 to trade at $80.14 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.78% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.47% to 0.90.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.01% at 102.61.
