Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.52%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which rose 3.89% or 5.65 points to trade at 150.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) added 3.12% or 5.25 points to end at 173.65 and Hermes International SCA (EPA:HRMS) was up 3.01% or 57.60 points to 1,974.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF), which fell 1.82% or 1.00 points to trade at 53.95 at the close. Vivendi SA (EPA:VIV) declined 1.67% or 0.14 points to end at 8.00 and Orange SA (EPA:ORAN) was down 1.31% or 0.14 points to 10.39.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (EPA:CASP) which rose 10.28% to 6.65, Nexans SA (EPA:NEXS) which was up 8.02% to settle at 78.75 and Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA) which gained 7.15% to close at 16.48.
The worst performers were SES (EPA:SESFd) which was down 14.59% to 4.77 in late trade, Altarea SCA (EPA:IMAF) which lost 3.80% to settle at 106.20 and Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was down 3.21% to 13.74 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 291 to 219 and 113 ended unchanged.
Shares in SES (EPA:SESFd) fell to all time lows; falling 14.59% or 0.82 to 4.77. Shares in Altarea SCA (EPA:IMAF) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.80% or 4.20 to 106.20.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.46% or 9.05 to $1,968.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 3.81% or 2.67 to hit $67.50 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 3.42% or 2.56 to trade at $72.23 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.50% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 103.31.
