Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Healthcare and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.46%, while the SBF 120 index gained 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR), which rose 3.66% or 3.88 points to trade at 110.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY) added 3.25% or 2.71 points to end at 86.20 and Danone SA (EPA:DANO) was up 2.90% or 1.40 points to 49.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which fell 2.76% or 0.63 points to trade at 22.39 at the close. STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STM) declined 2.22% or 0.72 points to end at 31.79 and Vivendi SA (EPA:VIV) was down 2.04% or 0.17 points to 8.17.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR) which rose 3.66% to 110.00, Rexel (EPA:RXL) which was up 3.43% to settle at 17.93 and Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY) which gained 3.25% to close at 86.20.
The worst performers were Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which was down 20.43% to 6.62 in late trade, Korian Medica SA (EPA:KORI) which lost 16.97% to settle at 8.69 and Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) which was down 16.91% to 1.93 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 309 to 219 and 106 ended unchanged.
Shares in Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) fell to 5-year lows; down 20.43% or 1.70 to 6.62. Shares in Korian Medica SA (EPA:KORI) fell to all time lows; falling 16.97% or 1.77 to 8.69.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.17% or 19.55 to $1,646.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.72% or 1.53 to hit $87.55 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.74% or 1.65 to trade at $93.39 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 0.99, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.42% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 110.79.
