Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.23%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Atos SE (PA:ATOS), which rose 1.97% or 2.20 points to trade at 113.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Kering SA (PA:PRTP) added 1.77% or 8.10 points to end at 466.70 and Lafargeholcim Ltd (PA:LHN) was up 1.62% or 0.71 points to 44.57 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orange SA (PA:ORAN), which fell 2.22% or 0.33 points to trade at 14.68 at the close. Vivendi SA (PA:VIV) declined 1.15% or 0.27 points to end at 23.16 and Bouygues SA (PA:BOUY) was down 1.08% or 0.46 points to 42.07.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Trigano (PA:TRIA) which rose 10.51% to 167.20, DBV Technologies (PA:DBV) which was up 3.13% to settle at 40.840 and Worldline SA (PA:WLN) which gained 2.12% to close at 44.340.
The worst performers were Iliad (PA:ILD) which was down 19.52% to 133.20 in late trade, Eutelsat Communications (PA:ETL) which lost 12.74% to settle at 16.08 and Ingenico Group (PA:INGC) which was down 6.05% to 69.24 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 305 to 255 and 91 ended unchanged.
Shares in Trigano (PA:TRIA) rose to all time highs; rising 10.51% or 15.90 to 167.20. Shares in Iliad (PA:ILD) fell to 5-year lows; falling 19.52% or 32.30 to 133.20.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was down 1.27% to 11.38.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.97% or 26.00 to $1292.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.14% or 0.10 to hit $70.86 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.86% or 0.67 to trade at $78.90 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.45% to 1.1873, while EUR/GBP fell 0.22% to 0.8781.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 92.94.
