Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.18%, while the SBF 120 index climbed 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF), which rose 2.60% or 1.70 points to trade at 67.01 at the close. Meanwhile, Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN) added 2.50% or 1.05 points to end at 43.05 and L’Oreal SA (EPA:OREP) was up 1.66% or 7.40 points to 452.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP), which fell 4.48% or 8.70 points to trade at 185.60 at the close. Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR) declined 2.01% or 3.20 points to end at 155.90 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) was down 1.25% or 0.47 points to 37.07.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Neoen SA (EPA:NEOEN) which rose 20.57% to 37.86, Fnac Darty SA (EPA:FNAC) which was up 5.02% to settle at 34.50 and Vusiongroup SA (EPA:VU) which gained 3.63% to close at 145.60.
The worst performers were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was down 14.92% to 1.67 in late trade, Clariane SE (EPA:CLARI) which lost 7.05% to settle at 3.22 and Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) which was down 4.48% to 185.60 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 266 to 243 and 96 ended unchanged.
Shares in Neoen SA (EPA:NEOEN) rose to 52-week highs; rising 20.57% or 6.46 to 37.86. Shares in Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) fell to all time lows; falling 14.92% or 0.29 to 1.67.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.53% or 12.45 to $2,354.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.95% or 0.74 to hit $77.17 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.81% or 0.66 to trade at $81.22 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 104.63.
