Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Mining and Pharmaceutical Industry sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Cartier Saada (CS:CRS), which rose 7.99% or 1.85 points to trade at 25.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Centrale Danone (CS:CDA) added 6.00% or 45 points to end at 790 and Alliances (CS:ADI) was up 5.03% or 9 points to 190 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI), which fell 3.79% or 5.00 points to trade at 127.00 at the close. Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) declined 3.61% or 49 points to end at 1310 and BMCI (CS:BMCI) was down 3.54% or 23 points to 626.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 24 to 22 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Alliances (CS:ADI) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.03% or 9 to 190.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.19% or 0.54 to $46.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.24% or 0.59 to hit $48.33 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 1.51 to trade at $1217.59 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.13% to 10.9800, while USD/MAD rose 0.08% to 9.6410.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 95.62.
