Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 1.13% or 0.0027 points to trade at 0.2419 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae (LS:YSO) added 0.95% or 0.0090 points to end at 0.9530 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was up 0.38% or 0.0500 points to 13.1400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which fell 1.26% or 0.0300 points to trade at 2.3540 at the close. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) declined 0.91% or 0.0080 points to end at 0.8690 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was down 0.88% or 0.1500 points to 16.9000.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 16 and 9 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 1.64% or 0.77 to $47.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.78% or 0.79 to hit $45.19 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 2.91 to trade at $1216.11 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.41% to 1.1446, while EUR/GBP rose 0.66% to 0.8908.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 95.60.
