Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Agriculture sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 1.14%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Promigas (CN:PMG), which rose 2.78% or 200.0 points to trade at 7400.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 1.18% or 35.0 points to end at 3000.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) was down 1.48% or 120.0 points to 8000.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p), which fell 3.64% or 1300.0 points to trade at 34400.0 at the close. Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) declined 1.96% or 720.0 points to end at 36080.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) was down 2.29% or 55.0 points to 2350.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 19 to 10 and 1 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.96% or 720.0 to 36080.0.
US coffee C for September delivery was up 0.08% or 0.09 to $110.92 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.02% or 0.50 to hit $2248.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.55% or 6.70 to trade at $1232.20 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.44% to 2883.55, while BRL/COP rose 0.79% to 778.58.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 94.00.
