Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Investment, Public Services and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.84% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 0.79% or 0.2 points to trade at 25.6 at the close. Meanwhile, Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 0.40% or 40.0 points to end at 10060.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was down 0.19% or 40.0 points to 21260.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which fell 2.61% or 70.0 points to trade at 2615.0 at the close. Etb (CN:ETB) declined 1.90% or 11.0 points to end at 567.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) was down 1.72% or 1180.0 points to 67240.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 29 to 2 and 1 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) rose to 3-years highs; rising 0.79% or 0.2 to 25.6.
US coffee C for September delivery was down 2.80% or 4.00 to $138.77 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 2.00% or 40.00 to hit $1958.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.92% or 11.82 to trade at $1291.12 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.56% to 2995.60, while BRL/COP fell 1.12% to 943.79.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 93.27.
